DANCING IN YOUR HEAD POLYGRAM RECORDS 543519. (UPC: 731454351928). This single CD reissues an A&M LP which combined music from Coleman's January 1973 Morocco visit with the first recording of the Prime Time group. An alternate take of the originally released Morocco title is included; considerably more material from that session remains unissued. Scheduled release date: April 18, 2000. OTHER RELEASES Other releases we've heard about this spring:

  • Chappaqua Suite (LEGACY / COLUMBIA 63565). I've seen no information about this release, also scheduled for May 2. It may well be a US version of the European release of the suite, which came out last fall. That release reissued the original LP, with no additional material.
  • Les Incontournables WEA INTERNATIONAL 34582 (UPC: 95483458226). Judging by the titles, simply a repackaging of early Ornette material from Contemporary and Atlantic. Titles listed for the French release are: The Blessing, Music Always, The Disguise, Just For You, The Sphinx, Una Muy Bonita, Tears Inside, Ramblin', Lorraine, Blues Connotation, Giggin', Alpha, Lonely Woman.
  • Hot House Flash Music 1662191. I know nothing about this release other than the title, which appears in a list of material at an online store evidently in England (prices in pounds). Any information is welcome...
